It’s amazing what a little color can do to a room. Insert my idea to makeover my bedroom with navy paint. I was on the fence about going dark, but now I feel it was always meant to be. I also struggled with the one accent wall versus the whole room. After reading a little excerpt from a fav. blogger, Studio McGee, where she said that sometimes an accent wall can make a paint job look incomplete, I decided to go ALL in.
- Wall Color: Naval by Sherwin Williams
It took 2 weekends, as I did only two walls at a time, as I wanted to still do things during the day. No primer, 2 coats.
And then we added some basic crown moulding to create a clean separation between the ceiling and wall. We pulled furniture and decor from around the house to pull it together but we did purchase 1 new item. Instead of installing a ceiling fan, I decided against my husband’s wishes and installed an oversized pendant light. It has the best light at night, and provides a nice relaxing environment. I highly recommend it, and even better- it’s from AMAZON!
Now the only thing left is to decide on is whether to get a desk or a day sleeper/bench for in front of my sliding doors. Oh- and to also go treasure hunting at home goods to update the decor on the shelves. Isn’t the whole point of the shelves….to indulge in continuous decor styling 😉
